The Second edition of GIFF Insight: An Innovative Journal for Advancing International Trade will be published in January 2023. The Journal publishes research articles, case studies, commentaries, field notes, book reviews, practical field experiences and review articles, that addresses real-life problems confronting the Ports and Maritime Sector, International Forwarding, Transportation, Customs Administration, etc. be it in Ghana, West Africa, Africa or from any part of the world. It is instructive to note that the GIFF Insight is designed to provide Governments, Planners and Policy Makers, Industry Practitioners, Scholars, and other stakeholders in the Ports and Maritime Supply Chain useful research findings that might support decision-making and bring about prosperity through value creation.
The Editor-in-Chief of the GIFF Insight invites authors to submit manuscripts for consideration in this unique Journal. The following describes the coverage and guidelines for submission to the Journal.
Coverage:
GIFF Insight is interested in research discussing or highlighting various topics including but not limited to the following: International Trade, Trade Facilitation, Continental Free Trade Agreements, SOLAS Conventions, Port Tariffs, Ports Cyber Security Strategies, Port Expansion, Port Congestion, Port Competitiveness, Customs Procedures, Safety and Security, Technology Adoption, Cost of Doing Business, Oil and Gas, Warehousing, Demurrage and Detention, Digitalization in Ports, Capacity building, Supply Chain Management, International Transportation (Air, Sea, Land, Rail, etc), Risk Management, Transport Insurance, Inland Water Way Transport, Free Port, Dry Port, Business and marketing geography, Transportation geography.
The list is never exhaustive. Nevertheless, even with such a focus, the journal still welcomes papers that address other topics related to Shipping, Trade, Logistics and Supply Chains.
Submission:
⦁ Researchers and practitioners are invited to submit their original empirical research articles 5,000–7,000 words in length.
⦁ Submitted articles must include an abstract not exceeding 200 (two hundred) words.
⦁ Paper/ manuscript should be submitted electronically in an Ms. Word format.
⦁ The electronic submission must come in two (2) files. One should contain the title (topic) of the paper, name(s) of the author(s), and the biography must not be more than 100 words. The second file should contain just the title (topic), the abstract, and the paper (minus the name(s) of the author(s) and their affiliations
⦁ Articles/manuscripts should follow the APA referencing format.
⦁ All submitted articles will be reviewed on a double-blind review basis by no fewer than 3 members of the GIFF Research Ethics Board.
⦁ Final decision regarding acceptance/revision/rejection will be based on the reviews received from the reviewers and at the sole discretion of the Editor-in-Chief.
